It shows a kind of Terminatorized version of Subzero on the main selection page for even more icy goodness.
Sub Zero in Mortal Kombat 9
NetherRealm has been hard at work at making alternate game modes for MK9. The various game modes that are included within Mortal Kombat 9 are Online Mode, the Tag-Team fighting mode, The Challenge Tower and a Fatality Training mode. A priority with this version of MK is inclusion of a lot of online gaming options. The tag-team feature is, as the name suggests, a four player option for the game which is completely new to the series. Very cool! While only 2 players can actively fight at once the other players wait in the wings for a chance to do some damage to their opponent by way of what’s called “assist attacks” or “special entry attacks”.
As a single player option, The Challenge Tower mode is similar to an arcade ladder. It has 300 specific challenges of various difficulty which will pay out “currency” as a reward. Players can then have the option of using up some of this in-game “currency” to by-pass the more difficult challenges. If you should manage to complete the Challenge Tower, the developers have hinted at a “major reward“. As part of the fighting challenges there will be: Test Your Might, Test Your Sight, Test Your Strike and Test Your Luck levels.
For FatalityTraining mode, you can practice specific fatality moves for specific characters. Features of this mode involve displaying the Fatality combination move at the top of the screen and locating the space that your character must stand in relation to the opposing character. When your character is at the ideal distance from your opponent, your character will have a green highlight and a red highlight when you are not in your ideal position. This should really help nailing some of the more difficult fatality moves!

Lumapit sa Kaibigan ang nalilitong Binata “pare, Diretsohin mo nga ako, Bakla ka ba?”… nanlumo si Paul sa Pambungad ng Kaibigan, “hah? Bakla? Ako bakla? Hahahahaha…. Anu kba nman pare…!!!” sa gwapo kong to? Bakla? Hah..!”
“Sa Bagay,” ang tanging naiganti nI Ricky. Basta’t tandaan mo pare, hah… nilapitan nya ang kaibigan at niyakap panlalaki sabay pihit na sinabing, “di tayo Talo”…. Ngiti ang naiguhit sa mga labi nito sabay palayo…
Nagpaiwan ang di mapakaling pawisan, dahan dahan hinuhog ng tubig ang mukha , tumitig sa salamin, at buong Imosyon na sinabing, “Anu Ba talaga ako? Sino ba talaga ako? Paul.. sino ka? Paul?” mga salitang nagbigay daan sa malalaking butil ng patak ng kanyang mga luha.

“Hah????” kay jen?” teka nagbibiro ka ba tol?” pautal utal na sagot ni Paul.
“seryoso ako tol, Lakas talaga ng tama ko sa kanya” mahal ko si jenn…..
Sa mga sandaling yun unang naramdaman ni Paul ang sakit ng Kutsilyong unti unting humihiwa sa kanyang puso. Na halos din a niya namalayang may luhang umaagos sa magkabila nyang mata..
“tol? Ok ka lang? so anuh na? tutulungan mo ba ako tol?”
“oo.. sige..titingnan ko magagawa ko…”
After Almost A month of boundless courtship of Ricky, napagtagumpayan nyang tanggapin ang oo ni jenn..
Ang natatanging oo na syang unti unting lumulusaw sa pagkatao ni Paul sa tuwing maaalala nya ang mga pagkakataong ito.
And there it all started…
Paul trying to stay away from his bestfriend… alam nya kasi na parang di na dapa, at din a kailangan. Kung sa bagay noon pa dapat nya ginawa to, at least di masyadong masakit para sa kanya ngayon na tanggapin ang katotohanang, di magiging sila ng impatikong si Ricky.

It was a fair afternoon that time, when Paul is silently walking to the Tennis court of their University, out of his consciousness….
Nakita nyang nahiga si Ricky sa lap ng Dalaga, tinitigan sya ng binata. Kitang kita nya sa mga mata nito ang kasiyahang alam nyang di nya maibibigay sa binata kailn man. After all, With all of his courage and self-esteem, he found himself on Comfort room facing the clear mirror and trying to stop the invulnerable flow of his emotions in his eyes.
“ayoko na!!!!!, bakit ba ako ganito?.... Parusa ba to? O anu?.. mahal ko sya.. mahal na mahal..”
48 hours past, mahahalata pa sa mga mata ni Paul ang bakas ng mga gabi ng iyakan, gabi ng pangingilala, at gabi ng bulagsak na damdamin.
“Hi paul!,, bati sa kanya ng isang kakilala… di nya sukat maisip na pagkatapos ng lahat, nakuha nya pang pumunta sa isang party at ang matindi pa nito…. Sa party mismo ng babaeng dahilan ng iyak at pighating dinadanas nya sa kasalukuyan…
Yes, 20th birthday ng dalaga…. ,,sa di kalayuan nasakop ng pananaw ni Paul ang nakatalikod ng isang makisig na binata. “Paul, salamat andito ka Pare,”.. halika sa loob. Ricky holds the right hand of Paul and tries to pull it over his hot body…
“ohhh, ohh,… pare, lasing kana ata…” pasaring ni Paul na may kunting kilig sa puso.
At exactly 1:00 o clock in the morning, wala ng katao tao ang bakuran nina jenn. Palingon lingon si Paul, para bang may hinahanap….
“ako ba hinahanap mo pare?” malaking pagkagulat ni Paul ng biglang me dumagan sa kanyang likod…. Lupaypay na si Ricky…. Di na halos makatayo….
“napasubra ka na naman pare”, walang sumagot sa tanong na yun habang nagmamaniho. Napatalikod saglit si Paul upang tignan ag nakatulog nang kaibigan.
Nang pagdating sa condo ni Ricky, pinahiga nya ito… akmang lalabas na sya sana sa pinto upang umuwi…nagising ang lasing na binata.
“Oh, pare san ka pupunta? Tagay pa tayo…. “(sabay suka) mga salitang yun na kumimbinsi sa kanya na wag munang iwanan ang kaibigan.
Lumapit ang nangungumbinsing simbuyo ni Paul sa Katawan ng lasing na kaibigan. Dagling dambot dampot niya ang isang planggana ng maligamgam na tubig at maliit na pamunas na syang masimbuyong hinagod sa buong katawan ng binata.
“Jenn!” ungol pa nito.
Malakas na kalabog ng dibdib niya ang itinugon ng mga salitang iyon. Akmang tatayo na ang nadismayang anino ni Paul ng biglang dumagan sa kanya ang mabibigat na kamay ng lasing na binata.
Hindi inaasahan ng isang katulad nya ang mga ganitong pagkakataon. Lalong lumakas ang kalabog at daloy ng dugo sa kanyang dibdib. Animo’y naninikip ito. Langhap langhap nya anghininga ng binata. Ang sensasyong bumabalot sa kanyang kabuuan ang unti unting nagpapahina ng kanyang katatagan.
wala na syang ibang maisip sa mga oras na yun, kundi tanggapin at lubusang paligayahin ang sarili sa hindi matatanggihang alok ng pagkakataon..
kinaumagahan,.. himbing na himbing parin ang gwapong si Ricky. Habang si Paul ay abala sa kusina sa paghahanda ng almusal ng pinakamamahal nyang binata.
“wow,..” hmm ako na siguro yung pinaswerteng lalaki sa mundo at may bestfriend akong tulad mo”…simbuyo ng bagong gising.
“gising ka na pala rick,..(???) i mean pre… teka bat mo naman yan nasabi? Hah?” namumulang banat ni Paul.
“syempre. Masarap ka magmasahe, masarap katabi, masarap magluto at higit sa lahat…”
“Higit sa lahat anuh?”
Biglang lalapit ang puyat na katawan ni ricky sa kaibigan at dahan dahang bubulong ng.. “masarap magmahal”…. Halatang namula at nagging balisa masyado ang reaksyon ni Paul sa panunuksong iyon.
“biro lang tol.. uy,, baka..magalit ka..” bawi na sambit ni Ricky.
“ulol, may iniisip lang ako.”!!... tol matanong ko lang.. gaanu mo kamahal si jenn?
“whow.. lalim natin tol,…!! Pero sa totoo tol, mahal na mahal,,,na para bang lahat kaya kong isuko para sa kanya.. teka.. bat mo naman natanong?..
“wala”, para kay paul, sapat na ang kanyang narinig para putulin na ang dapat ay noon pa nya ginawa.
Ilang araw ding di nagpakita sa university si Paul, ni magparamdam sa kaibigan.,, wala!
Until one day….
“Tol, pare, san ka ba nagsusuot hah? Tagal kitang di nakita hah…?” pambungad ni Ricky sa kaibigan..
Ni walang ngiti o anu mang tunog na lumabas sa mga labi ni Paul, sa halip tuloy tuloy ito sa paglalakad.
“Paul, paul!!!..”
Halos isang lingo ding paulit ulit ang eksenang ito. ni hindi umiimik si Paul sa mga tao sa paligid nya. Parang nasiraan ng bait.
“siguro may malaking problema lang” sabi ng kapatid ni Ricky sa kanya.
“problema? Tulad naman ng anuh?”
“ikaw? Diba ikaw yung kaibigan ng tao dito? Bakit ako tinatanong mo? Diba dapat alam mo yun?” pangaral ni Cindy sa kanya.
Napaisip tuloy ng malalim si Ricky sa mga pangaral na iyon..
